Project representatives must attend the planning meetings and conference calls - you have to be involved to be involved.

Why are meetings and calls preferred forums for involvement? I would consider myself seriously involved in several projects without attending meetings and/or conferences.

Since this is a "must do" requirement I think it needs to be more explicit. What planning meetings? What conferences? How many at a minimum? How much time do we have to devote to this?
