Description DJ Houghton CLA 2008-10-29 15:51:22 EDT
We will investigate the use of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, etc., in Eclipse development. Since this capability will require function from the model-based workbench, as well as support from the Equinox project, and will potentially impact many other areas, only the initial investigation is planned during the R3.5 cycle. This plan item has been completed for the 0.9 release. e4 includes a framework for writing bundles in JavaScript, and for integrating JavaScript-based extensions into the Eclipse platform.
