GMF supports regular horizontal labels. It's enough in most cases. But some metamodel specifications explicitly require rotated labels. For example, ActivityPartitions in UML, Pools and Lanes in BPMN. 
The label shoould be
1) rotated 
2) multi-line labels should be supported

I'm also interested on vertical labels. So is there any progress with this? Maybe any other bugzillas?
