Description

Not sure I understand this request. Kevin, are you suggesting to associate a local search with a task to easily recall the search when reopening the task? Actually, I'm not. What I'm suggesting is a way to (for example) drag a My Bugs bug into a duplicate detector to see if any bugs that are already in the My Bugs query have what looks like a possible duplicate. Say, bug 411043 is a fix that isn't scheduled to land in production until next week, but I'm still getting bug reports from users. It'd be really cool to be able to have a quick/easy way to locate duplicates of that bug without having to open it using a duplicate detector. Better yet - if it were possible to switch from a subtask view of the bug listing to a duplicate detection view, that would accomplish what I'm after. :-) (sample dependency tree view) + bug 1: ... - bug 2: fix that thing + bug 7: that thing is broken + bug 8: that thing doesn't work any more. + bug 3: ... Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1]. We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub. [1] https://github.com/orgs/eclipse-mylyn |
