Steps To Reproduce:
1. Put a line like this into plugin_customization.ini of your product:
org.eclipse.cdt.core/doctool/workspace.default=org.eclipse.cdt.ui.doxygen
(e.g. <eclipse-root>/plugins/org.eclipse.sdk.../plugin_customization.ini if you start the Eclipse SDk)

2. Start eclipse in a new workspace

3. look at Window -> Preferences -> C/C++ -> Editor. The workspace default is still set to "none"

Can't we just have Doxygen as documentation tool for C/C++ projects in CDT by default? It is de facto industry standard imho.

I just noticed this works since the fix for bug 285932.
