Description Nathan Mekuz CLA 2002-09-26 13:36:47 EDT
I am developing several plugins that contribute actions to the toolbar,
using org.eclipse.ui.actionSets.

I'd like all the buttons that are associated with these actions
to be grouped together in the toolbar.
I am specifying the same toolbarPath for all the actions.
However, actions from different plugins still get grouped seperately.
Is this a limitation? a bug?

thx.
Nathan.

Lowering priority. The plan is to revisit/redesign action contributions, but
not for 2.1.

Reassigning to SA - he's looking into action redesign/enhancement.
Comment 4 Simon Arsenault CLA 2003-01-14 11:56:24 EST
Currently it is not possible as the Coolbar will create a CoolItem for each
action set. There is insufficient time to fix this in 2.1 We will revisit this
problem soon.

Lynne, you were working on this for M5. Can it be closed? If not, please
reassign back to me.

Marking as a duplicate of [Bug 29835]. That bug report deals with allowing one
to add a tool item to the coolitem for other plugin action sets (i.e., each
action set within a plugin is given its own coolitem).
