Description Wouter de Vaal CLA 2008-07-07 06:19:29 EDT
Build ID: I20080617-2000

Steps To Reproduce:
This issue was just a warning in eclipse 3.3, now it has become an error, this is a SERIOUS blocker for our projects as lots of bundles use dashes (-) in the bundle symbolic name, which is perfectly legal by OSGi standards.

See the other bug I filed for 3.3
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=197503

Please. This bug now prevents us from upgrading to 3.4, we have not found a way to disable this error or lower it to a warning

Moving to PDE UI.

Tom, looking at bug 197503 it looks like dashes should be supported but Wassim
had issues with the change. Have any comments about it?

If OSGi says the bundle symbolic name can have dashes, I don't see why we don't
support it.

I see Chris has fixed bug 197503. I agree with fixing this. '-' should be allowed in BSNs.
