Bug 238247

Summary: [Wizards] Check Out As project location screen clears location field
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Thomas Nardone <tnardone>
Component: CVSAssignee: platform-cvs-inbox <platform-cvs-inbox>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: minor
Priority: P4 CC: Szymon.Brandys
Version: 3.3.2Keywords: helpwanted
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Thomas Nardone CLA 2008-06-24 10:16:36 EDT
Build ID: M20080221-1800

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Go to New->Project...
2. Select CVS->Projects from CVS; click next.
3. Select repository location; click next.
4. Select an existing module; click next.
5. Select Check out as a project in the workspace; click next.
6. Uncheck "Use default workspace location". The location field, which was previously disabled and could not be copied, is cleared. I then have to manually enter a location instead of making a simple edit to the path.

More information:
Most of my projects are structured slightly differently from what Eclipse expects. I should be able to quickly change the differences instead of having to browse or manually type in the correct path.

I think this is reasonable... Similar to bug 215146.
Comment 2 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2019-09-06 15:35:22 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
