Description Scott Lewis CLA 2008-06-05 11:01:53 EDT
Currently there are no XMPP servers that are implemented on top of OSGi/Equinox. It would be very useful to have one, providing easy integration with ECF and all ECF-based APIs/services.

cool idea
Comment 2 Scott Lewis CLA 2009-06-19 15:13:33 EDT
Setting target milestone to ECF 3.1. I (Scott) am going to start in on some of the work involved in this enhancement in anticipation of using it to implement the wave protocol provider in bug #280347.

If anyone on this bug wishes to contribute/participate directly in this work please coordinate on this bug. Thanks.
Comment 3 Scott Lewis CLA 2014-07-02 11:24:04 EDT
Sadly, I think the time for this enhancement has passed, and ECF's primary emphasis has moved to other areas (OSGi Remote Services). Marking as wontfix. If someone would like to take this on, please reopen with some resource commitment to make it happen.
