Description
Jared Burns
SSQ is this a locking problem in GC? I hadn't seen this bug since I upgraded to Mandrake 9.0 (gtk+2.0.6), but it seems to be back in the 20021213 build. I've had Eclipse freeze up on me twice this morning with this bug. I am experiencing this problem on the I20030121 build. You can drop by my desk if you wish to debug here. *** Bug 29679 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Same effect here, happened about 3 or 4 times today. Latest just few minutes ago so i decided to bug about it Build: eclipse-SDK-I20030122-linux-gtk.zip Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0xd2829)! Linux: Linux 2.4.18-19.8.0 #1 Thu Dec 12 05:39:29 EST 2002 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux RedHat 8.0: pygtk2-1.99.12-7 gtk-engines-0.11-13 pygtk2-devel-1.99.12-7 gtkam-0.1.4-6 gtkhtml1.1-1.1.7-1.ximian.2 gtk2-2.0.6-8 authconfig-gtk-4.2.12-3 gtk2-engines-1.9.0-4 gnome-python2-gtkhtml2-1.99.11-8 libgtkhtml1.1-3-1.1.7-1.ximian.2 gtk+-1.2.10-22 pygtk2-libglade-1.99.12-7 gtkhtml2-2.0.1-2 mtr-gtk-0.49-7 usermode-gtk-1.63-1 gtk+-devel-1.2.10-22 gtk2-devel-2.0.6-8 Happens to me as well about every hour or so on a debian woody stable/testing build. It only seems to happen if I open a new window (e.g. from the package explorer). May be related to an occasional flickering of the window titlebar I notice using WindowMaker (I have to click the titlebar to unfreeze eclipse). I've recently noticed that this seems to happen when I'm opening an editor. Are other people's experiences the same? i have definitely seen it a number of times upon opening an editor, but can't confirm that it's the only trigger. i have noticed that it has settled down quite a bit since backing off to M4, but hasn't gone away entirely. now it happens maybe once a day, where as with the integration build I20030122 it was happening constantly. i'm on linux-2.4, X-4.1.0, redhat-7.3~, gtk2-2.0.6.0.200210290744-0.snap.ximian.1, jdk-1.4.1-b21 *** Bug 29146 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 3317 [details]
