- started typing filter text in available software tab.

Marking RC3 (to put on my investigate list).
John, this would indicate that there was a null progress monitor passed to a UIJob.  Do you know if that is supposed to be checked by clients or is this a bug in the calling code?  I would have thought the PM passed to a job was guaranteed to be valid.

Hmm, you're right. This is a known bug that I thought I had fixed in the job framework.
