Description Steffen Pingel CLA 2008-05-22 00:20:32 EDT
Contexts are saved on the UI thread on task deactivation. This is not strictly necessary and could be done asynchronously to improve the responsiveness of task deactivation.
Comment 1 Shawn Minto CLA 2009-10-07 18:15:38 EDT
With bug 219173 I have made some improvements so that we could support full asynchronous context saving. Currently, we asynchronously save the context periodically, but saving is still done synchronously on task deactivation. Leaving open to discuss if we still want to make this fully asynchronous.

Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1].

We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub.
