Description
Pascal Rapicault
From a user point of view, what work would you keep trying to do once you've decided your configuration is hosed enough to revert it? We think of revert as simply another kind of provisioning operation but I think in the user's mind it is a different animal. But your point is understood. Note also we may revise the workflow for revert in the future in bug #216031. Fixed in HEAD >20090107. The workflow here is different now, but we do now close the dialog once we know we can revert. The revert wizard is gone, replaced by an "installation history" page in the installation info dialog (which will move to the about dialog). When the user selects a config and presses revert, there is progress shown while the plan is computed, followed by the dialog closing if the plan succeeds, followed by the jobs progress dialog while the revert is actually performed. |
