Description david.r.white CLA 2008-05-16 04:29:47 EDT
Not sure what the cause of this bug is, could be Subversive, UI, or underlying Eclipse code.

1. Check out a SVN project with a "src" folder in the root of the checkout.
2. Create a new folder "src/lib"
3. Import a jar file into the "src/lib" folder using Eclipse.

The jar file is not displayed on the GUI - there is no arrow to display the contents of the folder, implying it is empty. The jar file is present in the filesystem (and SVN know it is there), and using the jar in the Build Path...Configure Build Path...Libraries section works fine.

Repeat the above and change "src/lib" to "src/jars" and the .jar files *are* displayed.

We would need to know which view you were looking at. Package Explorer, Navigator, Project Explorer?

Waiting for information
Comment 3 Thomas Schindl CLA 2008-05-24 12:57:07 EDT
beside the fact that it looks like a bug why does one has .jars below the src (is src marked as a source-folder?)?
Comment 4 Paul Webster CLA 2008-05-26 15:36:22 EDT
Please reopen with requested information. This works for me with the Package Explorer.

Comment 5 david.r.white CLA 2008-05-27 05:58:20 EDT
This was within the Package Explorer.

As for the question about the source folder containing a subfolder containining jars, I checked this out from a svn repository and didn't create the subfolder myself.

Apologies for the delay in info., I wrongly assumed that by replying to the emails I received that the info would be added to this bug report.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
