cc'ing Gunnar, as he asked about this too. I have another reason for this to be in CVS (and licensed under EPL). I would like to use some of the ideas, if not some of the code itself, for a membership database and portal for my church. Seems like this is precisely how you would like Eclipse code to be used - for the benefit of other non-profits. +1 This is a Mike decision, so assigning this bug to him. I still think this would be a real boon to the community. Some progress has been made towards resolving this bug. Take a look at the Eclipse project proposal for the Portal. http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/portal/ We're looking at ways to move away from the home-grown Portal and onto something more generic, so investing effort into making this OSS is pointless. |
