Description Chemi CLA 2008-05-12 00:00:24 EDT
Build ID: I20080502-0100

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Add two sites:
- http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/milestones/

2. From first one, install all features from "Web and Java EE Development"

3. After restart of Eclipse, go again to Software Update and make sure that "Include items that have already been installed" check box is not enabled.

4. You will see that those installed features from the first site don't appear but they appear in the second site although they are exactly the same version.

More information:
IMHO, if I install a feature from one site and I uncheck the mentioned check box, that same feature shouldn't appear in other sites I have also added to Eclipse.

investigate for RC1.

Would it be possible for you to try this again on the latest build?
I tried to verify this in I20080513-2000, however I could not install the items you describe from the Ganymede site because of some version conflicts with the ant.core plugin.

So I was only able to install "Eclipse XML Editors and Tools."
However, after doing so and restarting, when the "Include items that are installed" checkbox is not checked, I don't see this item in either the Ganymede "Web and Java EE Development" category or the WTP category in the webtools/milestones site. When I check the checkbox, it appears. So it seems to be working.

There was a known bug in this area before (bug 228794) but it was fixed in I20080501, so I'm surprised you were seeing this the following day.

I have tried to get the latest Integration Build (from web: I20080515-1030) but it seems it is no available. Each time I try to get it, it starts its build process. I don't understand what happens.

I am accessing it at this URL: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/I20080515-1030/index.php

As soon as I get the copy I will try and post the results.

No way. It seems the Integration Build doesn't complete correctly so I can't download it. Any other idea about how to get it or what else to test?

could you try to connect to http://update.eclipse.org/testUpdates and upgrade your build to the latest build? Then restart and see what happens?

moving all bugs that didn't make RC1 to RC2.
Will triage those and determine when/what will get fixed during this time.

Ok, finally I was able to test the scenario with Integration Build I20080515-2000 and it worked fine. So, it seems it is fixed in last integration builds. I think the bug can be closed.
