Bug 229471

Summary: Inspect variable hover in editor doesn't always expand the variable when clicked.

Description Pawel Piech CLA 2008-04-29 16:31:46 EDT
This is a timing issue. When I hover over a variable in the editor the variable inspect dialog appears. If I move the mouse into the dialog and quickly try to expand one of the variables it doesn't always expand. If I try to expand the variable a second time, it does expand and show me its children.

What appears to be happening is that after I try to expand the variable, the inspect dialog refreshes (probably due to the dialog gaining focus) and the variable that I just tried to expand is repainted but not expanded.

I suppose the inspect hover is JDT specific (for now).
Comment 2 Eclipse Genie CLA 2020-05-06 12:19:03 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
