Description Walter Harley CLA 2008-04-07 20:04:30 EDT
The reference input to the XMLConverter utility written for the org.eclipse.jdt.compiler.apt.tests NegativeTests suite generally is drawn from a hard-coded string in the test case code, but the test source files are copied from a resources folder in the plugin. It would be better if the reference strings were stored in .xml files in or parallel to the resources folders, or perhaps next to the test case code.

The XML strings are cumbersome and take up a lot of room in the test processor, and necessitate rebuilding the processor jar every time the reference model is changed, which wastes CVS space.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
