Today, releng teams get PDE build out of the SDK and sometimes trim the SDK to something smaller. I don't see us producing yet another download. Another approach could simply be to have an IU available that people can install with p2 to install what is necessary to run the build. another option is to include the director app in the admin UI. Peopel can then run it with a different app and command line. Doing the admin ui is probably fine for most people, however in our case we would like to keep the bootstrap minimal and also telling people to dl a UI based application to run in a build would probably be the source of confusion. right. I expected the admin ui to be included as a tool from the Equinox site, no t part of the main download. Basically anyone wanting to do rep management, director installs etc could get this if they wanted.. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 225778 *** |
