I'd like to use this bug to collect enhancements to the color palette control used in screenshot attachment wizard (bug#195691).

Due to the tight schedule to implement it for Mylyn 2.3, we hadn't enough time to polish it.

I particularly liked some of the suggestions made in the comments:

- Improve the colors: after playing with some screenshots, the light colors looks a little too bright.
- Improve the palette layout: making it more like the MS-Word palette (see Eugene's screenshot in that bug).
- Get rid of the "Close" button: redundant?

Possibly change the "Close" button to a "More Colors" flat button (like in the MS-Word example), so the user can select the color he wants?

Thoughts?

Willian: are you interested in taking this on for 3.0?  Also, are there any relevant color palette efforts in Eclipse, e.g. in the Nebula project?

Yes, I do. But I cannot give a 100% guarantee, since it will depend on my free time available.

I don't know. At least I haven't seem anyone in Nebula.

The attachment wizard now uses the default color chooser dialog. It would be nice if a popup style chooser was provided when clicking the color toolbar button with an option to pick any color through the default ui.

We should be able to do this using the AbstractInPlaceDialog.
