Whiteboard:

Description David Williams CLA 2008-02-27 11:42:00 EST
Just as well put in doc plugins, too. (though, I think
those _might_ not require it. )

This is for the new "source jar" process we'll in implementing in WTP 3.0. See
http://wiki.eclipse.org/PDEBuild/Individual_Source_Bundles

The best, most modular, way to exclude known cases is to include
generateSourceBundle=false
in the build.properties file of the bundle. And ... all the info-pops have no source.

Kate, can you handle for M7?

In the latest SDK builds, you'll notice a bunch of extra "source" jars, such as

org.eclipse.jst.server.ui.infopop.source_1.0.400.v200803250340.jar
org.eclipse.jst.servlet.ui.infopop.source_1.0.202.v200804021210.jar
org.eclipse.jst.ws.axis.infopop.source_1.0.203.v200708222303.jar

This is because of the new way we build SDK's, so each infopop project needs it's build.properties file updated.

(I'm not sure about user docs .. probably them too)?

Thanks,

Dealing with this via 226050 since I'm updating all the infopop plugins for that defect as well. I'll close this defect when all the plugins are updated.

I've added this line to all the build.properties files for the infopops and committed/released the changes. Still looking into it for the doc plugins.

Assuming not fixed in M7, moving to RC1. Please correct if I am in error.

I'm not sure doc plugins need it. Just check a recent build and see if there are '.source' jars for docs.

Comment 5 Kate Price CLA 2008-05-08 14:03:42 EDT
There aren't any source jars for the doc plugins, so I'm marking this resolved.
