Bug 220533

Summary: [Viewers] Filter in Preferences dialog: Enter does not jump to right node
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Markus Keller <markus.kell.r>
Component: UIAssignee: Platform UI Triaged <platform-ui-triaged>
Status: RESOLVED WORKSFORME QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3 Keywords: helpwanted
Version: 3.4
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Markus Keller CLA 2008-02-27 05:52:31 EST
I20080226-1155

- Window > Preferences
- type "keys", Enter very quickly
(or copy "keys" to clipboard and then press 'Ctrl+V, Enter' quickly)
=> selected node is "General"
=> expected: selected node should be Keys, like when you wait a bit before pressing Enter

I guess the problem is that Enter jumps to the first matching node right away, but it should wait on the filter thread first.

Comment 2 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-02-17 16:32:29 EST
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
