The .product file contains program and jre arguments that should be generated into the eclipse.ini file.  The .product file allows arguments to be specified on a per-platform basis.

Currently eclipse.ini entries are added by the Root/Product IU with an Eclipse Touchpoint.  This is fine for platform-independant arguments.  But if there are platform specific arguments, then platform specific CUs  must be created that are required by the root IU.

Ideally even the platform independent parameters should be in a separate IU referred to from the product IU.

Each platform has its own CU configuring the ini file arguments.  There was no attempt to split out the platform independant arguments into their own CU.
