Actually Mylyn allows to create bug reports from error log entries. But sometimes there is a need to give feedback to recurring problems, and there is a need to paste log entries into existing bugs. See for example bug#188524.

Since log entries can have very long stack traces, I think it should be attached, so cc'd people don't get spammed.

I like that idea. It would be nice if a log entry could be dragged on to the task editor to add the contents as an attachment.

Dragging log entris to the task editor is an interesting idea but we'll need support for that in the Error Log view. Maybe Chris could help with that.

Please note my cautions on bug 216640.  However, there's no need to preclude this functionality, so if someone is interested in contributing it we can integrate it.

When receiving multiple drag elements, only the first is actually attached while it would be very convenient if you can attach multiple error log entries in one go.
Propose adding dependency on bug 205238.
Is there specific API to add attachments, like task.addAttachment(kind, data), that is needed for 205238 as well.
