The fix to bug 177331 required the use of deprecated and provisional API from UI. I had opened a request (bug 184074) to get some proper API. Now that we have some API we should start using it and migrate away from the provisional/deprecated API.

The original bug (177331) involved key bindings in the form header fields; it would perform operations (e.g. paste) on the editor content instead of the header.
