The "Customize View..." menu contains the filters. It has a tab in the dialog which is similar to the Package Explorer filters. Do you find the name "Customize View" unintuitive? Yes, customers / end users can't understand what "Customize View" should do. "Filters" is clear and probably better, but I'm not sure, I always have a problem with the right naming ;-). And yes, I meant not only to rename/add the "Filters" entry, but also to add "3 last used" filters below. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 167414 *** (In reply to comment #2) > Yes, customers / end users can't understand what "Customize View" should do. > > "Filters" is clear and probably better, but I'm not sure, I always have a > problem with the right naming ;-). As do I; in looking through the bug reports I discovered that it was originally called "Filters" and the name was changed to "Customize View". I actually think that makes sense. I think when the MRU (3 last used) is implemented, it might help to clarify things. And another possibility is to allow the name of that menu item to be customizable, but that actually might create more confusion, since the Project Explorer is shared between many things, who gets to decided what name to call the menu item. > > And yes, I meant not only to rename/add the "Filters" entry, but also to add "3 > last used" filters below. > This is covered by the other bug this is duped against. |
