Description John Arthorne CLA 2007-11-01 13:07:13 EDT
Bjorn recently sent out an email about three simplified overviews of the ip process, etc. Sadly, I have deleted the email, and the documents seem to be impossible to find. I searched:

 - Foundation page: http://www.eclipse.org/org/foundation/
 - Governance page: http://www.eclipse.org/org/documents/
 - Legal resources page: http://www.eclipse.org/legal/

I then searched for the mail archive of the committer mailing list, but the archive does not appear in the mailing list index:

Through google I found a blog reference to the ip process in cartoons and the three laws of eclipse, but I recall there was a third document that gave a simpler overview of how to organize legal files, etc.

This is a request to make these handy new documents easy to find on eclipse.org.

John, could this be the page you are looking for?
http://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/index-quick.php

Adding Bjorn to the cc list so he can offer an opinion about making these easier to find on the website.

So I did make a link to them on the http://www.eclipse.org/projects/ page - look in the left menu for "Quick & Fun Process Prose", but I guess that was a little too obscure. I'll add them to those other three places too.

Yes, that's the page I was looking for. I didn't think to look under the "projects" section, because I've always thought of that as just an entry point to the web pages hosted by each of the projects. A link around the foundation/legal document pages makes sense. I've also added a link under the "Committers" section.

I added links from those three pages to the index-quick page. Hope it helps!
