Description
Nick Edgar
We simply "gave up" on fixing duplicate mnemonics. Nick what is the strategy you use in the workbench. The problem we have in JDT is that we can it in one place we have a conflict in another menu. And IMO it is more important to keep mnemonics consistent than unique. This is one of those generally unsolvable problems. I think it's important to avoid duplicates, even if that means some inconsistency (e.g. between context menus and pulldown menus, or context menus in different views). If you can't avoid duplicates for all items in a particular menu, then you should at least try to avoid duplicates within a particular mode (e.g. file selected vs. project selected). But this requires duplicated the strings in the properties file. I am in favour to live with the duplicate mnemonics. Some of them got addressed: - Go Into and Implementors do not show up together anymore - Refactor got &t It is not possible to avoid all clashes so I opt to keep it as it is (max 2 with the same mnemonics) |
