Description Olivier Vierlinck CLA 2007-10-31 11:34:26 EDT
"Problems" views is updated regularly (on save, recompile,...)
If something is present in the Problem list, the "Problems" name of the tab is shown in bold.
This is a nice feature.
Would it be possible to go even further and show if the new content has error or not, because quite often, warnings don't need to be looked at immediately but more often during some clean-up phase; on the other hand, errors should be addressed rapidly.

Using distinct icons would be nice. Currently, the icon is fixed, red and yellow.
For example showing a red cross (or white cross in red box, like for compiler error in the editor view and package explorer) if errors are present and a yellow question mark if no errors but only warnings

What do you think?

An interesting idea - we would need to find a way to play with the icon and then decide if having an inconsistent one was OK.

Even changing font colours is an option too

"As per http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI/Bug_Triage_Change_2009"

The view's icon will now be decorated if a warning or error is present.
