Description Axel Mueller CLA 2007-10-12 03:35:12 EDT
I would like to export self-defined tasks, i.e. tasks that are not automatically created (Java or C source tags).
At the moment when I switch to another workspace I can import the preferences of another workspace. However, all the tasks that I have created there are lost.
Tasks should be exported separately and not as part of the workbench preferences.

First, you marked this bug as a duplicate of a resolved bug that is marked as deprecated for more then 2 years (i.e. it will never be fixed).

Second the enhancement described in bug #26809 is not identical to my requested enhancement. I would like to export/import tasks via File->Import/Export and do not want to share them via CVS. That is not the same.
BTW, I am talking about self-defined tasks (created manually in the overview ruler or in the task view).

File -> Import/Export is in UI

As per http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI/Bug_Triage_Change_2009

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
