Joanna, This seems like a problem with the IAC Admin. Hi Doug, I downloaded Eclipse 3.2.2, emf 2.2.2, GEF 3.2.2, JEM 1.2.3, TPTP 4.3.1, and WTP 1.5.3 (all from TPTP 4.3.1 page with Eclipse from archive.eclipse.org), I was able to start profiling the Tomcat 5.5. Did you set JRE to 1.5 in Java compiler and installed JRE and set Tomcat JRE to 1.5 (from Windows Preferences). My .log does not have the error you got. The error is most likely caused by a bug which has been fix in the latest code (4.5 development build. And my server status changed from 'starting...' to 'profiling...' very quickly (about 5 seconds). I didn't try JBoss. If you still have problem with these setttings, please let me know. Hi Bing, I'm using Eclipse 3.3.0, EMF 2.3.0, GEF 3.3.0, TPTP 4.4.1 and I couldn't find anything about JEM in my Eclipse help. And I also didn't changed the compiler level of my IDE (it is currently set to 6.0). Thank you, Douglas (In reply to comment #2) > Hi Doug, > > I downloaded Eclipse 3.2.2, emf 2.2.2, GEF 3.2.2, JEM 1.2.3, TPTP 4.3.1, and > WTP 1.5.3 (all from TPTP 4.3.1 page with Eclipse from archive.eclipse.org), I > was able to start profiling the Tomcat 5.5. So please change the java level to 1.5 by doing the following: 1. Select Window -> Preferences.... 2. Select Java -> Compiler and set level to 5.0. 3. Select Java -> Installed JREs and select a Java 1.5 JRE. If you don't see one, you need to install one and add it. 4. Select Server, set 'Server timeout delay' to 'Unlimited' because Ti agent is really slow when profile server. 5. Select Server -> Installed Runtimes, then select Tomcat 5.5 and click 'Edit', make sure JRE is set to 1.5. Doug, JVM 1.6 support has been added in TPTP 4.5. Can you try it (with either JVM 1.5 or 1.6) to see if you still have this issue. You need to set 'Server timeout delay' to 'Unlimited'. Closing. Reopen if happens again. As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open. |
