Description Ken Sandler CLA 2007-10-08 11:31:59 EDT
Build ID: 200702051728

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Install IBM ClearQuest version 7.0.1, Apply ClearQuest 7.0.1ifix01
2. Install IBM Rational Functional Tester 7.0.1
3. Install ClearQuest 7.0.1ifix01 plugins into Rational Functional Tester
4. Execute an Rational Functional Tester test from ClearQuest Test Manager from Rational Functional Tester (do local execution)
5. Resulting Test Log in the Test Log Viewer shows "no verdict"
6. Leave that test log open, and close Rational Functional Tester
7. Re-open Rational Functional Tester. Note the verdict in the test log viewer now is correct.

More information:
It was suggested I submit a Bugzilla defect report for TPTP 4.2.2 for this. Debug of ClearQuest Test Manager code (CQTM) shows CQTM is calling org.eclipse.hyades.test.ui.util.TestUIUtil.openEditor (calling TPTP to open the .execution file in the TPTP log viewer). I verified that CQTM is using the correct CQTM proxy for TPTP version 4.2.2. The EMF resource for the .execution file is created (without error), and passed to TestUIUitl.openEditor. Looks like the EXECUTION_EDITOR_PART_ID for that editor is correct, being, "org.eclipse.ui.forms.editor.TestLogViewer".

Ken, does your product require a patch for this defect?

Jerome, can you assign a sizing?
Comment 2 Ken Sandler CLA 2007-10-19 15:57:08 EDT
Resolving this one. We found a problem in the CQTM code. We were not registering the model properly we were using FacadeResourceFactoryImpl, but we should have been using ExecutionFacadeResourceFactoryImpl

Closing by default since not closed by the originator in the 7+ months since
being resolved.

Please reopen if the issue is still present in the latest TPTP release or the
resolution is not correct.
