Description Curtis Windatt CLA 2007-10-04 13:24:18 EDT
When adding a JRE definition using an EE file, the user uses EEVMPage.java to select an EE file. Once an EE file is selected, the other controls on the dialog allow modification of various VM properties (name, default arguments, libraries). However, there are properties in the EE files that are not visible (or editable) in the dialog.

For example, the Java home directory can be set to a absolute path in the file. Creating a new JRE definition from that EE file will not tell me that my java home property is set, but it does let me see that I have a VM arg for JAVA_HOME. I change the vm argument to the correct location. However, when launching, I get an error saying that my java home is incorrect. The IDE does not allow you to see/change this setting for that VM.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
