Scenario:
1. Launch Eclipse on one machine and Install and configure Rational Agent Controller (RAC) on other machine.
2.  From the workbench main menu select “File->Import” a selection wizard page will open, select “Log File” under “Profiling and Logging”.
3. Click Add
4. In the Host name tab click “Add” and enter the host name or IP address of the other machine to add it to Default Hosts list.
5. In the Details tab, select “AIX errpt log” for the log file type and choose the following log file in the other machine. You can take it from: <Install_Dir>\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.etools.logging.parsers\config\AIX\errpt\v4\nl\example.log. (just rename the file name to some Hebrerw file name). Leave the “Character Encoding” and “Locale” values as “DEFAULT”.
6. Click OK.
7. Click Finish to import the log file.

Result: THe importion of the log file is failed and error message is shown where the Hebrew characters of the log file name are displayed as question marks.

Joanna this is a problem with a parser that is not part of TPTP. The problem needs to be investigate in the consuming product first. I suggest  assigning the original RATLC defect to the ACLT team for investigation. If it will be determined that the root cause of the problem is in TPTP then we will address it here.

Have reassigned the RATLC to RAD, component ACTools.  Have asked them to reopen against TPTP if their findings differ from ours.  Resolving this defect accordingly. Thx
