The implementation of ComboContentAdapter.getInsertionBounds(Control) is problematic because it measures text for the x location, which doesn't take scrolling into account, and because the getClientArea() calls that it uses don't return the correct values on the Mac.

See bug #164748 and bug #44072 for more discussion.  When SWT implements this method, the getInsertionBounds method should be reimplemented.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
