Description Linda Chan CLA 2007-09-21 21:38:12 EDT
The ODA framework currently integrates with the Connection Profile framework to provide an uniform way for connectivity with heterogenous data sources. It does not directly integrate with the Database (JDBC) profile category.
This integration project aims to provide out-of-box support of the DTP JDBC connection profile types, and to enable any ODA-compliant consumer application to utilize the specialized RDBMS support available in the Enablement projects.
Comment 1 Linda Chan CLA 2007-12-31 21:28:44 EST
Committed initial implementation in ODA framework.
Comment 2 Linda Chan CLA 2008-02-05 01:56:04 EST
Committed filtering enhancement to extend the newly re-factored CPWizardSelectionPage (bug 189800).

Also committed an exemplary ODA driver, which adopts the enhanced ODA framework that integrates with the Database (JDBC) Connection Profile Category. It is an example only, and is not intended to be a part of DTP packaging.

Completed the integration targeted for M5.

In the current state, from the DSE view, if one selects the "New Connection Profile" on the view menu, the profile wizard selection dialog includes an ODA DB wrapper profile type. This part is dependent on the migration of the DSE menus to the org.eclipse.ui.menus extension point (bug 200140) so that one can override the command, and specify own filter in an action.
