WebDAVPreconditionFailures uses non-RFC-defined condition constants in the DAV: 
namespace, for example:

QualifiedName DAV_CANNOT_RENAME_VARIANT = new QualifiedNameImp(DAV_URI, "cannot-
rename-variant"); //$NON-NLS-1$

Constants that are not defined in RFC2518, RFC3253 or a related RFC should not 
use the DAV: namespace.
