Dear lovely webmasters,

There's some refactoring work going along in bug 202044 which involves taking out the PDE log view and putting it into another plug-in. I believe someone needs to stub a directory so it's possible to commit the code.

Boris/Jeff, do we want to xfer the ownership of this to the Platform? PDE is willing to maintain the component still even though it is located in the platform.

The view can be made part of the platform feature.  Regarding ownership - do you mean file permissions?  The PDE team should have commit rights so that they can maintain it, or am I missing something?

as far as I know, I can just check in stuff willy nilly to the root (http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/) so someone needs to create a directory with the correct permissions... right?

I've created org.eclipse.ui.views.log in /cvsroot/eclipse and set the group ownership to pde-ui(since that seemed to be the logical group).  Let me know if that was supposed to be pde-core.
