using wtp2.0.1 20070830060235

create new xml editing and validating xml files examples project
the project shows up twice in the project explorer

this doesnt happen in the navigator view
this doesnt happen when i create a new web, java, simple project
this doesnt happen when i create new gef example projects

i'll take a look at it first. i suspect something in the base changed though because i didnt see this problem in my dev env, and i'm using an older base

I believe the fix for common navigator bug 193577 may be the culprit.  We haven't changed our "New XML example" code in WTP 2.0.1, and I noticed that we did not have this problem in our last WTP 2.0.1 integration build which was built on Ecipse 3.3.1 eclipse-SDK-M20070815-0800-linux-gtk.tar.gz.

This latest WTP 2.0.1 build was built with an updated Eclipse 3.3.1 base, eclipse-SDK-I20070828-0800-linux-gtk.tar.gz contains the problem.

I'm going to forward over to the common navigator folks.

This bug has been put on the list of defects blessed by the PMC for the forthcoming 3.3.1.1 update.

Michael, could you please release the fix (same fix as for bug 204428) into a new stream as detailed below by Monday 1 pm EST? Thanks.

verified overlaying a recent wtp 2.0.2 build on top of 20071023-1652, i no longer see this problem.  thanks!
