A couple more comments.. 1) the bottom left and top right corners of the 'group' boxes isn't drawn properly on firefox (appears ok on IE) 2) is there some reason the 'People' and 'Details' boxes are separated? IMHO, the next important thing to see after the Summary and bug number is 'Reported' and 'Assigned To'. I think separating bits of information into different categorized boxes makes reading unnatural. Janet(cc'd), are there any media design folks that can help with this? adding Kelvin as he is our Eclipse designer. Kelvin.. are you able to comment? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 199802 *** To see what can be done, have a look at Mozilla's installation of bugzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259723 It's not perfect - for example, the commit button and the buttons for changing the bug status are still buried below the comments so that you have to scroll around to find them, but it looks much better than what we have. Let's continue the discussion on bug 199802. |
Created attachment 76568 [details] a screen shot with some annotations to explain why I think the layout is ugly I assume a change came about in the move to bugzilla 3.0 that effected the 'look' of the bugzilla web pages. The bug details page looks quite bad, with several boxed sections appearing to be all out of alignment. Lots of waisted whitespace between the boxes gives a very untidy appearance making the page 'feel' disorganized. Let me know if there's some code I can help tweak to make this appear nicer (any chance there's XSL that handles the rendering?). I'll attach some images to help explain in more detail.
