Description DJ Houghton CLA 2007-08-15 14:51:50 EDT
An early access version of the SWT port for Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) was included with Eclipse 3.3. Complete the SWT WPF port: add missing features; improve performance. [SWT]

Marking as LATER to align with move to Deferred items list in the plan.

(Yes, I know LATER is deprecated; it is also the only category that actually aligns with the concept of deferring something.)

Comment 2 Denis Roy CLA 2009-08-30 02:25:38 EDT
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
Comment 3 Eddie Galvez CLA 2009-09-23 11:45:19 EDT
Just out of curiosity, does the resolved/wontfix state mean a WPF port is stopped?
Comment 4 Kevin Barnes CLA 2009-09-24 08:32:13 EDT
It was RESOLVED/LATER. When eclise.org upgraded bugzilla, all LATER's became WONTFIX.
Comment 5 Eddie Galvez CLA 2009-09-28 09:15:41 EDT
Ok. By the way, is there somewhere to read some more about the why? I was actually trying to learn:

1) why/what the swt wpf port really is all about (in light of Vista/Win7, why do wpf widgets matter, and what does it mean to be "wpf" anyways)
2) the status

If it is WONTFIX, is there somewhere to read why? Not that I want or need i -- just to educate myself.
