Description Kaloyan Raev CLA 2007-08-07 12:25:55 EDT
The meta data in the Java EE 5 projects is spread among different sources. It is not only the deployment descriptor like in previous J2EE versions. Now we have also annotations in the Java source code. Other sources could appear in the future.

All these sources of meta data should be merged in a single model. The model should be extensible, so the existing DD model could be plugged in and also the future models that would be developed - like the one for the Java source annotations.

Changing summary - The model framework is in place, but the implementation to model annotations is not.
