I have the task filtering set up to show only certain types of 
	tasks on the currently selected resource and its children. But
	sometimes I would like to see all tasks in the workspace.

	It would be convenient to have a button which turns filtering
	on/off. This would save me from having to go into the filtering
	and changing all the options every time I wanted to see all taks.

Rather than adding a seperate button I would suggest the following:

 - The current button becomes a two-state toggle turning filtering on and off.
 - A pulldown menu ala the run or debug buttons is added to the right of the
button. The pulldown menu contains a set of check-box menu items, paralleling
the  "show items of type" tree in the filter dialogue. Seperators should be
placed between each category rather than using submenus (submenus inside context
menus should be avoided)
 - At the bottom of the pulldown menu is an item entitled "More Filters..." or
something of that sort that brings up the current filter dialogue

This interface has the following advantages:
 - Doesn't require adding Yet Another Button
 - Provides a simple interface to filtering out different sorts of tasks, which
is valuable because the current Filter... dialogue is somewhat
large/confusing/cluttered
 - Allows for convenient and obvious enabling/disabling of filters

One other detail, turning filters on when no filters are selected (e.g. by
default) should bring up the filters dialog.

Sure. I can go into the Filters... menu and toggle the "enabled" button.
