Description Bernd Kolb CLA 2007-08-01 05:14:05 EDT
When a bug is marked as outgoing, I have no change to see what has been changed and if this change was just made by accident. A compare view for tasks marked as outgoing would really be helpful.
Comment 1 Robert Elves CLA 2007-08-08 17:59:32 EDT
A while ago there was a bug compare view for this purpose but we've since removed it in favor of making differences between the local and remote copy more apparent within the task editor itself. Currently new incoming changes show with a different (blue by default) background. If you have made changes and then reopened the editor the label for changed fields will have a * appended. Perhaps attributes that have changed due to local edits should immediately have * appended or immediately get a different background colour applied.
Comment 2 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-08-08 19:45:14 EDT
+1 for different background color

There is also an outstanding issue to include outgoing changes into the task tool tip in task list view. Especially since we already show details on incoming changes out there.
Comment 3 Mik Kersten CLA 2007-08-13 22:47:07 EDT
+1

Could we overlay the outgoing arrow on those attributes? Perhaps the attribute/value composite could take this optional 9px image and draw it between the attribute and value if an incoming/outgoing change was present. Highlighting sounds good too, but for now would probably have to be gray for consistency's sake.
Comment 4 Robert Elves CLA 2007-08-14 14:57:57 EDT
Since adding an arrow would disrupt the layout I think the first pass should change the background.

Marking P2 since I think this will be relatively straightforward and helpful.

Comment 9 Steffen Pingel CLA 2008-10-06 23:49:58 EDT
This is out of scope of the 3.1 release and should be considered along with other task editor improvements.
