IBM's product based on WTP 2.0 needs extension points to inject specialized behavior. Perhaps two extension points are needed:

1) Web Service runtime specialization
- We need to make some function calls in the framework that are specific to our Web service runtime.

2) Web Service runtime + server
- Given a combination of Web service runtime and server, we need to make some function calls in the framework. We need to know whether or not the wizard creates the server.

We've already address the second point on leting the extender know whether the framework created the server (bug 199626).  I think we have addressed a number of specific issues with other defects and RFEs in this release to allow the extenders do special processing (e.g. vetoing, preferred server etc).  I don't think there's any more pressing need for this RFE anymore.  Please re-open if this is still required with more specific requirements.
