hi,

 I'm seeing the Package Explorer flicker when you select close all. It maybe looks likes its refreshing for each editor closed.

I raised a separate bug as I don't think this is quite the same as

This is because "close" makes a file uninteresting, and "Close all" can make a large number of files uninteresting.  The work-around is to deactivate the task.  Setting for 3.0 sine we may be able to get rid of the flickering by batching the corresponding events.

The main problem described has been resolved along with bug 195727.  You can get the latest weekly build from: http://www.eclipse.org/mylyn/downloads/

The remaining problem is that explictly removing resources from context still causes this flicker.
