Open the java perspective
Open a .java file by doiulbe clicking it in the packages view
Note that the "Show source of selected element only" button is just ot the right of the run button.
Now select Java>open type
Pick a type and press ok
Note that the "Show source of selected element only" button is at the end of the toolbar

This is very confusing.
