Description Dimitrij Afonitschkin CLA 2007-07-06 09:53:42 EDT
If i overwrite method doCheckState () of org.eclipse.jface.preference.StringFieldEditor and tries to validate
the entered value, i do not get list sign from text field if it was entered by
ALT + key code combination.
E. g. If you go to "Debug" preference page and enter in one of timeouts text fields by pressing "ALT" (keep ALT pressed)and then 456 and release "ALT",
you will get invalid character in field, that is not validated by preference page.

Comment 2 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-08-12 12:55:18 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
