Bug 194626

Summary: [POG]The refresh of Monitor tab takes about 10s each time

Description Marius Slavescu CLA 2007-06-27 11:40:59 EDT
Whenever I open/switch to a launch configuration it takes about 10s to populate the Monitor tab even if I don't change anything (AC/IAC or JRE) in the mean time or I haven't even closed the Profile configurations dialog.

We should cache the information for the same AC/IAC instance (probably by processID and host).

Igor, can we consider this issue as resolved? Please add reference to Bugzilla records related to this.

Recently, fixing the #224471 defect, I have added cache to the JVM version detector. I think this defect can be closed if nobody has problems with last TPTP build.
Comment 3 Eugene Chan CLA 2008-04-16 10:53:43 EDT
It looks better with the latest TPTP build. I will close it for now and please reopen if you see problem surface again.
Comment 4 Paul Slauenwhite CLA 2009-06-30 09:40:17 EDT
As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this originator of this enhancement/defect has an inactive Bugzilla account and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
