Description Kevin McGuire CLA 2007-06-23 23:57:09 EDT
A not uncommon dialog pattern is to have two lists where you move items left and right between them, where usually the left list is "all items available" and the right is "all the ones I want". An example is in the PDE plugin import wizard "Selection" page (page 2).

These should look and behave in a consistent fashion.

1) In particular, we should have common button graphics for moving items left and right. The PDE wizard uses ascii characters to "draw" the arrows (e.g. "-->" "<--"). These look unprofessional, are translation unfriendly, and result in a haphazard layout since they are not justified to the edges of the buttons.

2) Another issue is that some buttons are dependent on selection while others are not. We should be able to tell one from the other.

Marking as 4.0 since it could be part of an overall look & feel overhaul.
Comment 2 Dani Megert CLA 2013-06-05 10:42:50 EDT
Removing outdated target milestone.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
